What do you have to get when lowering a p11?

Shocks, Springs, Suspension, and Coilovers?

And how much for them and what are the best ones to get?

you can do one of two things, you can put lowering springs and change the shocks which springs should be around 180 and up and shocks should be 75 and up. you can also put on coilovers and chnage the shocks too coilovers are probably around 300 for ground contrl that is. you should change the shocks no matter what.

I had a P10 for 3 years with only the springs (40mm) changed
& had no problem with the standard GT shocks & handled
brilliantly
I've only changed springs again on my P11 & it drives great

You can just put on springs but the US G20's dampers/shocks are pretty weak so they'll wear out in about 6 months then you'll have to replace them anyway. WHen you see a car 'bouncing' down the street that is a good indication that hte shock are ready to be replaced.

Best bet to change the shock with the springs...it'll save you haveing to pay someone to put new shocks if you can't do it yourself.

I would go with a set of Tein's. Im told they have the best ride and they are adjustable. But they do cost close to 1k...

somebody in here said that a Koni makes full shocks for P11. I don't know about it but as far as I know, you can't get all the shocks for P11 as of right now.:bloated:

If you want a Koni setup w/ Ground Control coilovers for a P11 call Jason Duty @ Velocity Resources in Florida. They will ship anywhere and Jason is probably the most humble, easy going, and helpful person I've ever dealt with in the Tuning industry.

He also did all the R&D with Koni and GC to setup a kit for the US P11

Thanks a lot for all that information!!! I think that I want the Ground Control Coilovers, which are adjustable correct? My other question was if I put the GC's on what will the ride be like and if I put new shocks, will it ride better? Thanks SO much for all the help

if you get ground controls, i recommend getting shocks with it...maybe some euro p11 Koni Sports up front and 95-99 maxima rears or even some KYB AGX's off a 91-96 G20 up front and 95-99 maxima's in the rear, good luck

IMPORTANT NOTE: THE MAXIMA REARS WILL NOT WORK WITH JUST STANDARD LOWERING SPRINGS, IT WILL ACTUALLY RAISE IT BACK UP, USE ONLY WITH GROUND CONTROLS BECAUSE YOU CAN MAKE UP FOR THE RAISE BY LOWERING IT A BIT MORE. :D

Im sorry to be a pain in the ass, but im new to the suspension.. Im not really sure about what to get, which shocks will give me the best ride, i dont want to be bouncy like those little civics lol... Why cant the front and back be from the G20 and it has to be from a Maxima? Thanks again..

because no one really makes any shocks for our cars yet, you gotta steal it from a different car that'll fit hehe the only maxima shocks you need will be the rears, the front can be either off a euro p11 or a 91-96 G20. but remember, only use the rear maximas with the ground controls, other than that you gotta go back to your OEM's for the rears

hey, no problem, but don't thank me, this is just info i pulled from everone elses experiences, so thank them, shoot i haven't done anything but put wheels on my car, so really have no experience with this lol

from what i hear, the koni and gc setup is very good so i'd go with that, so get the gc's and front euro p11 konis and the 95-99 maxima rear konis and be done with it :D

theirs a link to velocity resources above this post, they can help you with the shocks, good luck :alien2:
