got my headers, y pipe, and cai on. it all really woke my car up.
my buddys ls1 t/a- pretty much nuts.
ls1 6-speed gto- we ran from a dig and i had 3 on him till he missed 3rd. went again from a 20 roll. i pulled away pretty easily. had him by about two cars.
6-speed c5 vette- first run i pulled away from a 20 then he started catching up pretty fast. then he missed a gear. second race he nailed all the gears and from 20 to 100 i stayed within 2 feet of his back bumper. (he was a newer driver so he shifted kinda slow)

nice runs! Quite the LT1 you got. Goat driver not too happy about that one im sure. We all know how Goat drivers are with losing to a smaller engine. Mushashi actually killed the last one. Used his head as a hood ornament and fed the corpse to his wife and kids.

LS1 and LT1 are both 5.7L. The first return of the GTO with the LS1 is slow because it weighs to damned much with no power.
Good kills, always fun.

nice runs man, yeah the stock exhaust on the lt1/ls1 f-bodies is very restrictive. did you end up goin with a catted y-pipe or offroad? also dude i HIGHLY reccomend you get a high stall-speed torque converter for your next mod, that's by far the most noticeable mod i've done to my a4 trans am. it's like giving crack cocaine to your transmission.

i went with an ory. my next three things im doing are a stall, gears and some good rubber. cause im im still rocking good old 2.73s. then after that ill probably spray it.

i'm still rockin the 2.73s as well, and i still made a 12.5 pass with them. i might bump up to 3.23s at some point, but honestly i dont think it's really worth the .05 of a second you might shave in the 1/4 for the mpg's you lose. i know a girl who bumped up from 3.23s to 3.73s, and was able to shave .04 off her best. she also gets around 15mpg in the city though.
also 2.73's are a lot more fun for highway rolls

yea. those 2.73s are great on the highway. my car is getting around 32mpg on the highway and 22 in the city. if i can stay above 16 or 17mpgs in the city with gears ill be happy. when you did your stall did you do an upgraded trans cooler?

If you want to do gears but not 3.23's, you might want to consider some 3.08 gears. Might get a tenth or two drop in ET and still have decent MPG.

i thought about those to. im pretty set on 3.73s though. if gas mileage is to bad it will motivate me to put a new clutch in my ranger and ill just drive that around.
