I have seen some rather good looking brake callipers. Not those red/silver/gold Brembos. I mean those stock one. The goldish greenish ones. How do I get those color? TQ

Paint is a good option.

I know paint is a good option, but what paint should I use? I've seen through some of tamiya's selection, but nothing seems to come close.

You can mix paints. Do you have any photos or links to some websites that show the color of the caliper?

i'm not sure you'll be able to capture that look in scale.
eastwood had a turorial on their site at one time for their cadmium plate paint kit. IIRC they used silver and gold base colors and red and green clear highlights.
i'll guess it's gonna be like painting exhaust systems, some trial and error before you get the look you want.

Let's see some pics of what you're trying to do...

Perhaps a brass/gold base coat followed by a very lite pearlcoat would at least give some type of effect. A lite brown wash to finish it? :runaround:

[EDITED]

Is it allowed?

No, rules here are that you can't post links to other forums. It's part of the agreement here with advertisers.

But you can post pics, either of models or of full scale cars, to show what you want to simulate.
