For the last year or so, i have had a little problem until recently. Over the course of the year, when i would turn the ignition, i would not hear the fuel pump engage. After a few tries, it would activate and it would turn on fine. However, one day, no matter what i was unable to do, it would not start. I did a little work and found that not enough electrical flow was heading to the pump. I followed the wire and found the location. It was to the "Body Control Component" above the radiator. I replaced this device with a new one, and it ran good for about a week. Then, as I would drive, I would lose all gas flow and the car would die. Sometimes it took only a few minutes, others a few hours and it was ok and could drive again. However, now it won't start at all. My father has a similar vehicle and i pulled the same part to swap them. When i swapped them, it works just fine. When i put the new one back on, it doesn't. Then as a check, i placed the new one on my fathers car and it would not start either. Beyond this point i do no know where to go. If anyone could give me advice on this issue for a 1993 ford taurus, 3.8L V-6, i would greatly appreciate it.

Maybe the new one is faulty or damaged!

Welcome to the forum!

I've posted a link to the block diagram for the Constant Control Relay Module (CCRM) on this forum before and many others have posted their issues with the CCRM (broken ground wires, loose connections, etc. Try using the "Search this forum" feature from the Taurus forum main page for the keyword "CCRM."
