bad spring on honda

Hi when I am driving 1992 Honda accord I can hear the passenger side spring making noise .The car handles alright but the spring makesa clacking sound.If the spring needs replacing can I use the quick strut by monroe to replace it.Has any one ever use this sensatrac strut and how does it ride compared to the original set up.thanks!

Clacking sound, when? Going over bumps? Could be a horizonital sway bar clamp broken. Springs don't make clacking noise unless they are broken and then you would know it.

I was hearing what you described on the passenger side of my 93 Accord a while back. I had it up in the air and found a bad lower ball joint and the axle boot had a tear in it. I decided to replace both axles, upper A-arms, lower ball joints, stabilizer bar links, outer tie-rod ends and while I was in there I also replaced the struts with the Monroe sensatrac's. When I pulled the struts at 134k mi, they had no gas in them and were flopping in the breeze. I suspect original.

The Sensatrac's seem to be a bit more of a stiffer ride in my opinion.
