Convert '73 Buick from points to regular distributor??

I have a 1973 Buick Centurion with a 350 motor that uses points (contact set). When I went to buy parts for it, someone at the store told me that I could just put a new distributor and I wouldn't have to use points any more. He said it was pretty simple.
Is this true? And does anyone know what parts I would have to buy and what kind of distributor I would have to get? Is it easy to install? Thanks.

A later model Buick 350 distr with the GM electronic ign, say from a 75, I believe should work, it is a one wire hook up to a constant 12v switched power source.
