Audi Trouble

Hi all
As most of you who have built Revell's Audi R8 probably know about the issue with the fitment of the body to chassis. I have successfully wrestled the body onto the chassis. But what should I use to permanently attach the two? Hobby cement is way too brittle. HELP!!

I have just had the same issue, the fit on to the chassis it brutal. I broke the wheel arches twice trying to get the thing on. What I used to glue it was some super glue gel along the edge of the chassis and the inner edge of the body. Then held it together with tape for a few hours. If using super glue make sure its in a ventilated area to keep it from reacting with the glass.
Anything else just didnt hold for long.

Although I don't have the model, I would suggest 2 part epoxy glue.
I personally use: This (http://wilsoncheong.trustpass.alibaba.com/product/11674726/Rapid_3_Ton_4_Minutes_Epoxy.html)and this (http://wilsoncheong.trustpass.alibaba.com/product/11309452/Rapid_Steel_Epoxy.html).
Just a note... the syringe version is actually harder to use. The resin half of the glue makes the gasket sticky, thus making it hard to get equal amounts.
Green package: grey epoxy
Red package: clear epoxy

I used 2 part epoxy. Get the stuff that set in 5 minutes, then I just held the nose down on the chassis for about 10 minutes to make sure it was well and truly set.
I've built 2 Revell kits recently, the R8 and the SuperAmerica, both were a real pain to get the body onto the chassis. Which is a shame, because the rest of the kits go together so well.

Ooooo, I truly loathe the double syringe dispensers!!! :banghead: They're a magnificent way to make a mess and waste epoxy. It may seem like a 'clever' idea, but it is utterly impractical for mixing small amounts. :disappoin

Wish that someone had told me that before I bought the stuff :banghead:
But the tube stuff kinda leaks, bad cap design... I have to keep them in a zip lock bag to prevent my glue drawer from being covered in resin.
