Does anyone know how to remove it? Not just the shift boot but the whole assembly as shown here:

Are there any adjustments needed when switching it out? Please help...thanks guys!

Nothing should need adjusted.
You can see where the cabel attaches to the assembly. Just pull that pin and once replaced put it back in place.

Wait, how do I even access the assembly? I thought I would just pull up the shift boot and there would be a pin to pull but when I went out there, I didn't see anything. Do I have to remove the whole center console to be able to remove the ebrake assembly?
Also, should the brakes be on (up) when changing it out, off (down), or it doesn't matter!?!
Basically, I'll be changing out my shift boot, shift knob, and ebrake assembly...help!?! :o|

I cant remember exactly. I think there are 4 bolts that bolt it to the floor. The pin I was talking about is what holds teh cable to the assembly.

taking the center console storage compartment thing off is pressy easy, and you should be able to access it from there i think. Theres 2 screws in the back of it inside, and 2 screws in the front of it under a little snap on cover (which breaks easily, so be careful), then it just lifts out.

Okay so I just need to take the back part of the console out (cup holder piece), not the whole center console, right?

Alright guys, I freakin' stripped a screw (philips type) while removing the center console. So uh...how do I get it lose now that it's nice and round? :(

Lesson learned. Those screws are in there tight from the factory. You need to make sure to have a good screw driver and use alot of pressure as you are backing it out.
They make tools to remove stripped screws.

^^LOL Yeah, that was real helpful Stealthee...thanks! Haha
Anyways, I just left the screw as is and found another way around it. Turns out you don't need to remove the whole center console to get to the ebrake assembly. Just the back cup holder piece, a metal "wall," and I had access to the assembly.

yeah i took the "Wall" out of my car a long time ago, didn;t really make much of a difference but it allowed for easy install toggle switches on the front wall of the center console..and super easy splicing into the cigg lighter for power..
