why are fords plauging the streets of the world they have been the worst invention since ...... well anything anyone who don't agree with me can suck my d*^%

the focus isn't that bad.

Guh. UUUUUUUgly. It isnt helped by the fact that people buy them and rice them out even worse than civics.

I think the better question is why are all the Hyundais there? If anything licks donkey nuts... its a hyundai.

Ford is coming out with a new Focus SVT that dosnt look that bad. and it has some balls to back up the look.

You shouldnt be dissin on um. Ford has some cars that eat imports alive man. I dont like Ford either but im not about to start dissin on um. Any car can be the greatest, it doesnt matter on make. Its all about how good you are with a wrench. So if your all about import cars the more power to ya, but im gunna laugh my a$$ off when you pull up to some modded to hell mustang wit whatever your drivin and your expectin to win, but then the mustang kicks the sh!t outta you.

Are we counting the Vector in the Ford category? Since Ford owns them.

I agree that Fords are about the shittest car on the road - in my opinion. Dont like it? Then you must be a ford driver and therefore not to bright.

My "passion" against Ford stems from my neighbor's truck blowing up (literally) in their driveway for no reason but trying to start it.

My fave lines about Ford: "I see that Ford has finally circled their problem" (in regard to the emblem)

"Have you ever noticed that Ford can easily be transposed into "Frod"?"

"Have you put out a Ford lately?" (in rememberance of the truck)

"Fixed or repaired daily"

I hate Ford, and I'm not scared to show it!!!!! ;)

A whole slew of ignorant posts in here.

Ford are probably the greatest company ever, considering their history. They have the richest racing history with wins in pretty much every form of motorsport over the years. They have dominated every form of motorsport at some point. No one else can say that.

Plus they make really great road cars.

well one thing i will say they might be able to race them but why are they breaking?? while at my father's work in one week we had almost 19 Fords the whole week.... we usually only get around 35 a week and most of the same crap was wrong with them so either you can go stick around a garage for a week or 2 and keep a tally of what goes in and what goes out .. you will be quite amazed how much crap ford has out on the roads.

i don't really like ford either but there are worse companies... Hyundai and Lada to name a few

they have some OK cars like the mustang

My Fords ('67 Mustang, '94 Falcon XR8 and '98 Mondeo ST-24) have been extremely relaible, not one having a major problem, even though the Mustang is getting old and is guzzling oil and petrol at an unbelievable rate and has been stolen 3 times, but those are barely the cars fault. Although I do admit Ford have had thier fair share of lemons (Crown Victoria, Pinto, Explorer, Taurus, Edsel and 1980's-early 90's Mustang)

geez a ford man like yourself even has got a few problems with them

But GM is loaded with shit cars- Cavalier, Camaro, Suburban, Tahoe, Blazer, Pontiac Montana, Firebird, Malibu, 2000 Impala, Lumina and most others except the Vette

and the Classics are quite nice

Both my Fords are more than a week old: Mustang is 32 years old and the Falcon is 35 years old and still going strong.

I think pop came in bottles in the 60s but I guess you would have to be able to read to know that:D:D

Have you got any 1/4 or 1/8th times from your Monte?

well i have no drag strip around here to test it.. i'll get back to you on that one i never really felt the need to test it since i've only been driving for about 1 year now
but a rough guess would put it in i'd say high 12 at 105

The Drag strip is a great place to test and tune up your car dude and my old Falcon does 8.1 seconds at 85 MPH over the 1/8th mile (Still chasing that elusive 7) Its not super fast but its a deadly bracket car:D

As for the original statement - can you be more specific? Like, as to Which Fords suck?

Of course EVERY manufactureer will have vehicles that are lemons, but that is NO reason to stake the company's reputation on. For example - do I hate Chevrolet simply because they come out with a few monstrosities once in a while? No - despite a few lesser quality machines, they have an equal or better number of good quality machines.

And even those Hyundai's and other cheap brands - with a regular maintenance schedule, they rack up some impressive milage figures without any major breakdowns.

Simply put - take care of a vehicle, and it will take care of you.

Some wise words; however, if you've been screwed over by a company that you spent tens of thousands of dollars with, you'd be right in not wanting to do business with them again. And since this is a message board to vent, I can safely say from experience and without remores -Fords suck. I dont like them, I dont want one and I sure as hell dont want them getting even one cent of my hard earned money.

I realize that this is the place to vent and all, but I was asking you to back up your statement :).

Which Fords, have you had experience with?

Also, was it the Company you had problems with, or the product?

I was thinking this afternoon about this post, and I can say that without a doubt that Ford has got themselves a good set of trucks, and engines. I work for a Courier company (check out the Sig) and we are VERY abusive to the engines and vehicles. Out of all the brands we use, the Fords are the last ones to break down. True, they do break down, but they are neglected, and thrashed. We've run vehicles nearly out of oil, yet the Ford engines are the last to be affected by it. Maybe if Toyota (or whatever your current preference) built a big truck and engine combo, we'd try it out too, but we mainly use the Big 3 for now, and out of which - the Ford is the most dependable unit out of them.

now that i think about it even hondas are engineering masterpieces, like the S2000 gets 125hp per liter... that's some good engineering

ANY Vehicle that is religeously maintained WILL go a LONG way, regardless of make and model.

True, some are designed better than others, but this name brand knocking is pathetic. Do your friggen' homework first before you knock em' all.

On another note, how's the reliability on Italian cars?

Pretty piss poor on FIAT, Alfa Romeo and Maserati a lot better on Ferrari and Lamborghini

I dont have time to go into detail right now - off to work. But I take care of my vehicles. Theres a reason my 81 is still running like a champ. But the Escort, Tarus, Tempo and Mustang were pieces of shit. Nice for a year or two and then everything would break down. Also without going into details right now, the company fucked me. So FUCK THEM! I not only will not give them any money, I hope the company continues to crumble into ruin!

fords do suck, but the older ones aren't all that bad, fast as hell...hyundai's are that bad either lol for real though, they have a lot of confidence in their cars, 10 year warranty geez :eek:
