99 S10 Blazer LT Power Window Stuck Up

I bought this Blazer LT a month ago & have noticed that every time I raise the driver side power window, I can feel the door panel expand when the window reaches the top like the window is trying to raise higher than the door frame. Yesterday it stopped raising half way up but after driving a while it would raise up and down but would slow when reaching the half way point where it had frozen earlier. Now the window is up & will not lower. When I hold power window button in the down position I can hear slow ticking. All other windows work well.

The only way to know what is going on is to take the door panel off and inspect.

It sounds like your window motor needs to be replaced. I found that when your window gets stuck half way and you wait awhile and then it work, but starts to slow down. It because the motor is over heating and it on the way out the door. Its time to retire. Just a hint. If your going to replace the motor. Do not get one of those cheapies from E-Bay. They say life time warrenty., but it at worth it. They don't last more then a year, and it cost to much to ship it back to them for the replacement. Not to mention the time you have to wait till you can fix your window. Make sure you replace is with OEM parts from Delco. You'll spend more. But you won't have to worry about not being able to secure your car cause the window won't go up.
