1997 GTP electrical problem

When I turn on the heater blower motor, there is a ticking noise coming from under the dash. Also the information center goes dark. As far as the ticking noise it seems to be coming from a black box more toward where you left knee would be. Anybody have any ideas as to what is causing this. Oh yeah, also when I turn on the blower motor it will shut off the headlights unless I run the motor on high.

The module making the noise is probably the DRL module but the real underlying cause could be a bad ignition switch and harness assembly based on your symptoms.

I am having a similar problem, did you have any luck in figuring it out?
