1995 S10 Blazer 4.3 Vortec 106,000 (miles Mild compared to you guys).
Was getting the PO 401 code and replaced the EGR, CPI (because it was bad),cap, rotor, wires plugs and disconnected the battery for 1 day so ECM could relearn. WOW seemed like a new truck for 3 days- Wife was happy,
pockets were empty though. The code has now returned and cant seem to make it go away. When I changed the CPI unit cleaned out the spot for the EGR and the EGR itself-Did I miss anything-?
Also, truck has had a P0441 for a while and have replaced all the brittle dried out vacuum lines. Where should I begin and which one should I fix first-?
BTW I sure am glad for this forum wish someone would have showed me along time ago. Trust me I'm leading more people to it its great to read at my desk on lunch. Pictures sure do help along with clear explanations

That egr code says the egr valve is not opening or there is no flow when it opens.
On egr valve check all wiring and plugin's on it.
Make sure the intake ports exhaust and vauum where egr bolts on are open.
Does it run good outside of code?
To Check egr valve operation you will need a engine capable scanner.
And the repair flow chart for that code from a good repair manual.

Truck runs good, I do notice a very slight stumble after driving distance as I pull up to light, compared to what it was (I can live with it). Is it associated with the 401 code or 441 code-?
To Check egr valve operation you will need a engine capable scanner.
Will my OBD II Actron scanner be sufficient or do I need a more Hi Tech 1-?
Suggestions-?

Look aound in it for any engine running test and see if it gives a egr valve test.
The erg position desired and actual readings may help to.
