One problem down, one to go!

Alright so I have fixed the problem with the knock sound (CV axle), and I have one more to go. While driving I can sometimes feel a slight pop or knock in my steering usually going around corners. My bushings and controls arms all look good, so what could it be? Struts maybe? Any insight would be great. Thanks..

Couldn't edit my post sorry.. It is a 2006 Pontiac Gran Prix 3.8 liter 43,000 miles.

Have you inspected the outer tie rod ends?

When we switched out the CV axles everything was pretty well inspected. I would like to add that while driving the wheel seems very bumpy even on newly paved roads. I had them rotated and balanced and it is still the same.

I would have the steering column intermediate shaft checked. They cause a clunk in the steering wheel when turning and are a common issue.

It seems like I can feel the pop more so when I am accelerating through a curve. It doesn't matter which way I turn the wheel. And the knocking noise that I thought was gone when I accelerate isn't completely gone, it's just not as bad.
