Cooling Fan

On my 1998 Passport, I noticed only one electric fan in front of the radiator. Is there supposed to be two? The fan that is in there sits on the left half of the radiator leaving the exact same amount of room on the right. Almost like there is susposed to be another fan there. Am I missing a fan?

There is only one electric fan. It is mainly used only when the A/C is running.
