Blower motor is beginning to make some noises intermittently
so I am planning for the possibility of replacing it....When
I flip the glove compartment down and look under the dash
I see the blower motor in plain view...Question is will there
be enough clearance to pull the blower motor down and out
from under the dash...Or will I have to remove the dash
or instrument panel for access. Will appreciate input from
anyone who has done the job..Thanks

I haven't changed the blower motor on a 2000, and I am looking at the service manual for a 2002. For the 2002, which I think should be similar to your 2000, the blower motor comes out from underneath the dash. There is a trim piece underneath the glove box that is held in place with push style pins. You remove this panel and there should be access to the blower motor.
I apologize if this is considerably different from your 2000.
