no gauges or horn

hi i'm new to this i have a 98 voyage the horn don't work and the gauges and the cruise is not working i tried to soder the cluster it's been out for a week now and nothing is come up i did the key on off trick came up with 66 and 55 don't know what they mean but it is still running good and no problem starting either and abs lights on no power option on this van also tried the heat unit trick nothing can anyone else come up with a posible solutin i may be ablr to try thank you for all the help.

Is your AIRBAG Light on??
No horn and cruise control not working points to the clockspring is faulty. Call your local dealership regarding a recall on this clockspring.
Also do a search on this forum, there are numerous threads pertaing to this problem.

yes iv'e been looking for days and tried every suggestion on all the forms i could find. thanks i will talk to my dealer out here thanks again.

I'm thinking you may have two problems. Tempfixit nailed your cruise and horn issue with the clockspring. Very common. The cluster and code 66 issue are steering me towards a BCM/CCD bus problem. The clockspring won't cause these two to pop up.
MIL code 66 can be either a scanner code P1698 or P1695. The only way to determine which is to connect a scanner and read the scanner codes. I'd recommend you head to an Autozone and have them read the codes with a scanner. It's free.
> P1698 means the the Transmission Control Module (TCM) is not talking to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) over the CCD data bus. Because you say the van is running fine I suspect you won't see this code.
> P1695 means the Body Control Module (BCM) is not talking to the PCM over the CCD data bus. The BCM controls instrument functions among many other things. It is also a major player in the CCD data bus circuit. I would expect this is the code you will see.
The fix? A quicky you can try is to pull the IOD fuse in the fuse box next to the battery. Leave it out for 2-3 minutes then reinstall. This may reset the BCM. Still broke? You have an open in the CCD bus circuit somewhere between the instrument cluster, the BCM and the PCM. You'll have to inspect the connections and check continuity on the two data bus wires. The instrument cluster solder joints are normally the likely culprit but, you've been there. Worst case? A bad BCM or cluster.
