I am working on a 98 somoma for a friend, When i got it over to my house the old motor (2.2) was already pulled, the new motor has been in the back of truck bed for a year before i got it. now all of the other parts were in the back to, I got everything back in motor cluch hose vac lines, On the right side of the motor i found seven place's for computor wire's to plug into, Three of them are for the coil pack tray after everything is plug in i still have one spot left open, eather to the tray or block. there is one missing & can't find it. i need to know what the colors should be going to the coil tray, I've call the dealer they say its to old (98) and they don't have any way to tell me. Does anyone have a clue because i don't.:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

The ign control module should two plug in's.
Can you post a picture of the problem with/or plugin's?
One 6 wire and one 2 wire.
The two wire is pink 12 volt ign. and a black/white ground.
Did you use all stuff from old engine?
What year was new motor?
Dealer is full of crap.
They should have factory repair manuals with the wiring.
Try AZ web site for wiring and repair info on it.
Your next best bet is the All Data online sub.

Don't know what year new motor is, but some of the old parts were used on this motor, The coil pack and tray look like they are new. and the tray has a place for three different hook ups and they are all different size's, And yes i do think the dealer is full of crap but there is nothing i can do.:shakehead

Stop in a your local parts place and look at one for your year and engine.
Good Luck
