Welcome to AF.
What year and model Regal is this. GS/GSE or LS/LSE?
And are you referring to the climate control unit external temp readout?

So you have a LS model with the automatic climate control (ACC) which has the digital readout. Do you have a driver information center and trip computer at the IP?
I recall the climate control unit can be forced to readout in celsius but it is done via a jumper at one of the electrical connectors at the input.

thank you for helping me first of all
no i dont have trip computer or information center.
"jumper at one of the electrical connectors at the input." - i dont know what you mean by that - at the input to the acc or somewhere else?

How DIY capable are you? Enough to remove the climate control unit? It has to be removed to look at a specific connector, pin and wire.
There are 2 main connectors at the back of the HVAC control unit. C and D. At connector D there is pin D7. This is the English/Metric connection point. If this point is grounded it reads Metric-Celsius. If this is open (no ground) it reads English-fahrenheit. The specific wire should be color coded black.
If you're handy with a multimeter (DMM), set it to ohms - resistance. Check at connector D, pin D7 relative to ground. If it reads a open then its set for English. All you'll need to do is short the wire to at this point to any good chassis ground to read celsius.
The other option would be to take it to a GM dealer and explain your issue. All they need to do is look at the GM FSM wiring diagram and do the work.
