FULL performance exhaust? '02 Alero 2.2L

Hey

I'm trying to find a full performance exhaust kit, or seperate header/cat/catback kits for my 2002 Alero w/ 2.2L Ecotec. I found a Pacesetter header but I heard that they don't fit very well and make it really hard to install. I'd prefer a 2" system. I could buy the tubing and build the catback section myself, and throw on a new cat if I can find a good one, but the header is my main concern.

Someone around here HAS to have put performance exhaust on 2.2L Alero, right? What did you use?

Oh, I also want to avoid any exhaust that's going to make my car sound like a lawnmower shoved up a wookie's ass. I'd like it to sound fairly normal, maybe a tad louder.

THier are 2.2 headers available , I'll see what I can find.

But as far as CAT back systems, I thnk the only one out there now is the Borla Cat back for around $750. A custom 2.5" stainless at your local muff shop should be half that price.

Pacesetter has the Monza CATBack quasi-dual exhaust system. Works on the 2.2, 2.4 and 3.4 engines. 2.5" plumbing all the way back to the exhaust tips. Well under $400.00.

Here is a sample of one of the dual tips.

BTW - Plus it deletes the resonator.

Thanks for the info! That pacesetter catback looks nice, the only problem I see is that I'd have to make a cut in my rear bumper cover to accomodate another exhaust outlet. I don't know if that would be a big problem, so I'll have to look into first.

I'm thinking I'll just save up some cash and go to a performance exhaust shop and get some custom stuff done, I'm sure they could find a good header for me.
