Hey,

I have a 1984 E-150 w/ 5.8l H.O. 4v. The timing adjustment procedure as per the hood says to plug the vacuum line at the distributor and disconnect and jump the two wires at the ignition module then adjust to 10 degrees btdc. what and where are the two said wires? As far as I know thew ignition module is the aluminum box on the drivers side fender well, and it has eight wires that do not unplug. any help out there? Also, I was always curious as to what the 4v meant in 5.8l H.O. 4v.

According to my diagram for a 1984 5.8 it has a TFI-IV on the side of the distributor. The sprout is a plug next to the connector for the TFI-IV on the side of the distributor.
