How do I program a keyless remote for my 1995 GMC Jimmy?:banghead:

Welcome to the site. Drop the kick panel on the driver's side under the steering wheel. You will see the black keyless entry box. Using aligator clips or a bent paper clip, jump both posts on the red connector thats not connected to anything. Your doors will cycle and you will be in programming mode. Press and hold the OPEN button. When the locks cycle again, the remote has been programed. Do the same for each additional remote. when all remotes have been programed, remove the jumper on the red connector.

I used your advice, and what I found was an after market key less remote box which has no red connector to jump. It seems the previous owner to my Jimmy had some electric work done, and the original remote key box is gone. Any ideas on how to proceed next?

If its an aftermarket unit see if it has the company's name on the unit and try to contact them. Otherwise its almost imposible to determine how to program it.
