i dont mind fiberglass all that much actually, i have been doin quite a bit with it lately, like bodywork and such and doin some on my console to mould it in :D its pretty fun, but once i finally get an amp i'll see if I have to make a rack like that or not. :)

It used to be flush mounted with the floor.
But my installer thought he was capable of making it look much better. So he rebuilt it!
here's the old one.

ok i was wondering there, whatever you don't bolt them on the box, i can't stand that, either mount it infront of the box, or on the back of the seat. I had mine on the back of the seat.
what are those subs rated at? and are they single or dual voice coil? because seriously, i see no reason to have 2 amps for 2 subs unless they are dual voice coils. 1 amp will do just fine, you can manipulate an amp a lot easier that way. Just ask Melt;) I suggest to him how to hook them up, and it helped out big time.

yea i would NEVER bolt them to the box. i'm gonna either put it infront or to one of the sides, i dunno what there rated at lol, and dunno how to tell if they are single or dual voice coil.... i'm not that great with car audio, just know how to hook it up basically lol:D

I have mine hooked up in series circuit. Dual voice coil running at 2ohms stable.

Well a single voice coil sub only has one spot to hook up an amp, a dual will have a spot to hook up wires on both sides of the subs. If they are single voice coils, 1 amp will do you just fine. Just hook it up in a series like Jeff has his.

i'm pretty sure i know what u mean, on each side of my box it has a thing for one positive and one negative wire for the subs. if it was dual voice coil i would have 2 postives and 2 negatives per sub per side right? if thats not right then show me a pic so i understand lol :D

Yea it should be like that, but the best way to find out is to take out the subs and look. They could be dual voice coils and just running to one hook up on the box.

I'm gunna need a hand mounting the body kit. I'll call you once this weather warms up.
I plan on driving down to oregon for a meet, and was thinking if you came we could go 1/2ers on driving. I mean 29 hours is a hell of a long drive for 1 person.
These plans wont happen untill i get my car painted, and my new engine in. HOPEFULLY near the mid/end of the summer.
So watch out leigh, I might need your help on a couple of things. Between the 2 of us we can fingure out how to swap a engine:D
