I just received an auto transmission I purchased off ebay that has one of the three boltholes for the trans mount broke. It is the center hole on the front left side. The top half of it is broke. Does anyone know if this can be fixed or will the two remaining bolts hold? This trans is out of a 99 with low miles. I hope it can be saved somehow. Any advice will be helpful before I contact the seller. Thanks

I would bolt it in and use a washer to hold it if there is any lip left.

There is actually 4 total. 3 bolts and one stud by the starter. I would trust a tranny like this with one bolt mount messed up. Hopefully the trans is in good shape. I just replaced mine and you can read it here..............

OK, let me explain myself a little better. The bolthole that is broke is holding the transmission to the mount to the frame. The top half of the bolthole is gone. Looks like maybe the car wrecked in the front end and broke the mount and the one threaded boltholes. Anyone ever seen this and how would you fix it if you can? Thanks again

The mount on the back or the mount under the battery? Mine has a bolt that snapped off flush on the back mount and I just left it go. No problems so far.
Make sure where yours is broke does not open into the inside of the trans to let it leak.

This is the one under the battery. Mine is an automatic. It has two bolts on the front and one on the side of the trans. the one that broke is the middle one. the other two look ok. I'll try and take a picture and post to show what I am talking about.
I am not very smart when it comes to welding. Can you weld on these trans?
I just dont want to junk this trans. if I dont have to
Thanks again for your help.
