Shorted Fuse Block Terminals

My father used the Trailblazer today to jump somebody's car and he didn't think. He connected the wires to the fuse block terminals (don't ask me how he didn't realize this - he is very clueless when it comes to cars) and shorted them out for at least 30 seconds. Now, none of the interior electronics function (i.e. radio, interior lights, locks, windows, rear wiper, etc - HVAC fan speed works, but none of the other controls). I checked the fuses that could be related to the BCM both under hood and in the back and none appeared to be blown. I also disconnected the battery for a while to see if something might reset. I didn't check the 125AMP main fuse on the block, as I don't have a multimeter on me right now, but I figured it could have blown. Also, I noticed on the far left of the underhood fuse block that there was a wire post with nothing connnected to it and along the wiring channels nearby, a disconnected positive wire with a screw connector tip tucked in between other wires.

Despite all this, my biggest suspect is the BCM, as it is a damn sensitive piece of electronics and it makes none of the clicks it should be making whenever the ignition switch is turned. Please tell me any of your experienced thoughts.

Keep looking for a large fuse blown, or possible burnt wires.

Well I'm going to try to take it in to get looked at tomorrow or friday, unless I can find the problem soon. It really needs fixed, as driving it turns the inside into an oven, as the temp doors are stuck on heat and the windows are stuck up. I thought about a wire also, but damn, if there arent enough of them to look for!

Could someone please check their underhood fuse box to see if the far left part of it has another, thinner positive wire on it?

Are you talking about the smaller red wire coming out of a main wireharness to the side of the main under the hood fuse block that has a ring terminal on the end of it? If so that is just the 12 volt charge line for your 7-way trailer plug on the back of the truck. That does not need to be hooked up unless you are using the trailer plug to tow a trailer that requires a charge line. It is usually just sitting to the side of the fuse box coming out of a harness with I believe black wire loom around it. If it was to get used it would get put on the empty post on the side of the fuse box.

FIXED IT! It was the 125 AMP Megafuse located across the terminals of the fuse box. I looked up the wiring diagrams to the BCM and the BCM positive power is protected by that fuse, so I figured it'd be best to replace the cheapest piece 1st. After 10 bucks (+15 alldatadiy subscription) and a little frustration, all is well again.
