I'd google 3.1 or 3.4 performance parts.

How exotic do you want to get? You may try "grafting" Malibu Maxx SS parts onto your previous generation Malibu... Maybe even stuffing a 4.3L engine into it - I saw that on a GM skunk works car at a show once.

You might also try giving Jim Pace Performance Parts a call. I think they are at paceparts.com. Good luck.

In the Classic models, they use an Ecotec engine.

From a GM Performance Parts catalog, I believe that do make performance parts for an Ecotec engine, like in a Colbalt or Saturn Ion. I am not sure if those parts are geared specifically towards the Colbalts or Ions, but worth looking into.
