Removing the EGR valve, 88 Grand Am 2.0L Turbo

Ive got a 1988 Grand Am, 2.0L Turbo.

Thanks to a post I placed here a few days ago, I think I need to replace the EGR valve.

It looks like there is an awful lot of stuff Ive got to remove to get to it.

Has anyone here on this forum, replaced 1 on the 2.0L Turbo?
Ive got the Haynes manual for it, and it doesnt go into much detail since Ive got the 2.0L Turbo (which is very uncommon Ive heard).

Any tips/tricks/hints to make it go easier?
Step by step instructions on what to remove would be perfect.
That might be asking too much, but a driveway mechanic can dream cant he?

Thanks
Scott

Welcome to AF.

I just read your other post on your idle troubles.

I would check for any trouble codes first, might give you a better idea of whats going wrong before dismantling everything.
I'll see if I can dig up some more info on the turbo model.
I've only seen 2 2.0L turbos in my life, and I've seen 1000's of grand ams over the Pontiac years.

It could also be the turbo going south. :(
