Passlock Bypass

06-18-2008, 11:50 AM
Hi i am currently putting a 2.2 ecotec out of a 2003 cavalier in my dune buggy. I have eliminated everything i dont need from the harness and it runs great. The only problem is i still have to use the BCM with a few wires on it and the sensor wire to the ignition tumbler with 3 wires the black white and yellow. I am seeking a way to get rid of the Body Control Module and the Ignition Key wires. If anyone could help that would be great.

Stand alone Engine management and make your own engine harness....

or deal with the BCM.

The BCM, cluster, and PCM are all intertwined into one another for passlock. If one of the 3 gets changed, you'll have an issue.

GM's class-II wiring harnesses is a real bitch to get around, which is good because the cars are very hard to steal, but try doing what your doing and its troublesome.

if you have the original ignition, you can get the resistance value from that.. and simply wire a resistor in its place... i would much rather try to steal a chevy than a ford pats SUCKS
