Ash Tray Light

I have a 2002 Limited and the ashtray light is out. Just bought the car a few weeks ago and I am just getting it up to my par. Was wondering, how do you change it? I can not seem to pull it off from below. So my next thought was to remove the pull tray from below the climate control to get to it, I just can not figure out how to get it out. This really is no biggy because I do not smoke, but I do use the try for other items.
