Escort cosworth question

How much do you think it would cost to import an escort Cosworth to the US? I drove a cousin of mines while visiting him in the UK and was a beast. It could eat an EVO IX for breakfast. I'm thinking a couple thousand USD, which I think would be worth it. And also, would it be about the same to import a Lancia Integrale? Europe gets all of the good cars.

It wouldn't be a great deal of money to have one shipped over on a container ship. The problem would be getting it through customs and the epa. A friend of mine bought a Mercedes 300 in Germany and had it shipped to the states. The emissions on the car were not up to epa standards and he had to put $7000 into it just to get it to where he could get a title and tag for it. He got a good buy in Germany, but whatever he saved was spent getting it legal here in the states.
