My wife's 97 taurus station wagon will not start and seems to be stuck in the on position. It will not turn-over and the dash lights remain on at all times, even with the key removed. I replaced igniton cylinder same problem. I have to disconnect the battery to kill lights. Any help or cc is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum!
The key cylinder is less likely to be the culprit than the ignition switch, which is located in the steering column. The procedure to replace the ignition switch has been posted before, try using the "Search this forum" feature from the Taurus forum main page. Also, keep in mind you'll be working around the airbag if you opt to replace this yourself. Go through the steps to properly deactivate the SRS system.

Rod,
Thanks for the welcome and info. I will try to swap the igniton switch this weekend. I'll let you know how it went!
