'05 ZX4 Tranny and Electical Dash Problems

Ford Focus ZX4 2005
1) First noticed Yellow Check Engine Light + Automatic Transmission Problem when engine shifting from the "Stopped or Parked Position" to "Drive". Vehicle proceeded to Struggle through 1st gear....then finally trips into 3rd and over-drive as vehicle is driven under normal conditions and in traffic (first 2 days, Thursday and Friday).
2) Then over weekend I noticed the same problems as I Start the Ignition and proceed to put the vehicle into "Drive"...but in addition to my former Transmission Problem the Tachometer was dies along with the Digital Trip Odometer as well as the Over Drive Light Flashing on the dashboard console.
3) But as soon as the vehicle is put into gear and the car proceeds for 1 mile or so, the gears struggle out of 1st gear to “the normal 3rd or overdrive gear”, the Automatic Door Locks finally go from "Unlocked to Locked" SUDDENLY the Digital Trip Odometer and Tachometer started working. Plus suddenly the Over Drive Light "Stops Flashing"?????? (normal operation – doors automatically lock as soon as vehicle is put into Drive Position)

Welcome to Automotive Forums. I would suggest disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery for 10 minutes to reset your computer. Also, make sure the connections are clean and tight.
