Hey all;
Does anyone know where I can get some cheap, OEM spec (doesn't have to be high-perf aftermarket) slim line fans? Or just fan for that matter. Just need one to take the place of the cooling fan on the radiator because the stocker is just too thick. Any ideas on cheapos?

Got mine from ebay for like 30 shipped. It seems to work fine.

eBay has a lot of generic ones just FYI. Spent like $30 for a 10" by 2" thick fan. Not bad at all. Was expecting a lot worse.

Yeah, if/when I get around to that I am going to go eBay style on that. The stockers arent too annoying just yet, but I have a feeling by the end of summer I am just going to have say fuck it.

Bought mine from advance auto parts. Probably the same thing. Why do you need slimmer fans? Cant fit your turbo and manifold behind the stockers? :D

Why do I need SS line when a basic fuel setup works fine?
Or why do you need to lower the car, when stock works just fine?
It's just something to have and do.

The main advantage is space but I wouldnt doubt that they would cool better. Like the one I have for example, has a bunch of S style blades as opposed to the regular old school ones. So, IDK for sure, but...looks like it would cool better.

Depends which brand, size, and style you buy. Some push no more than stock fans do while others push way beyond anything you'll ever need for cooling. I just bought a single 12" S blade style Flex a lite that pushes more CFM's than their standard style dual 10's... The benefit? It cools much better and quicker while giving you lots of extra space for a larger turbo. With my setup however, I still can't even fit the slimline fans in there. So now I will be relocating this new one in between my radiator and FMIC. It should be a nice little relocation to help pull air through my front mount also... :biggrin:

My fan has I think 10 blades on it compared to the 4 the stocker has. I don't know how much cfms the stocker flows but there's a ton more air moving. You can feel it blowing out the bay when the hood is open. Pretty quiet too.

Lol, mine sounds like a freakin jet. I've got it wired to stay on a little while after I cut the car off, and its sounds pretty cool, when you shut the engine off, then you hear that loud whirring noise. Its gangster.
