96 bonne se ac please help

we just filled the ac but it is still blowing hot air like the heater is on. have checked everything fuses ok, composer comes on, but it feels like its blowing heat from the motor can there be a thing in there that moves to block the motor heat and could it be stuck and if so were:banghead:

Notice in the pics below, the heater core blend door actuator location and the failure mode common for the actuator. The actuator is located behind the glove box, on top of the heater core box. Not easy to get to! :shakehead

wow Thanks lol had the glove box out and trying to figure out how to get in there past the air bag after seeing your pics i just stuck my hand up there and moved it. it's blowing cold now. lol but after seeing what we will have to do to fix that part I think i'll have someone else replace it before winter for now its alot cooler then it was with the windows down.

On the Bonneville you will be able to get a thumb wrench/ratchet in there to replace the actuator... Mine broke in hot mode on the way home in the rain...LMAO... I replaced it ASAP...lol... And the gear inside was broken in the exact same manner..

This replacement can be bough from Rock Auto for $40ish and change..
