Since the "Song Title Game" is the only thing updated anymore, i figured i'd breathe some kinda life back in here. I doubt a lot of the members here are into extreme metal, but still, if you have to quench a thirst for brutal, heavy metal, check out a band called "Bloodbath".
Their latest EP, "Unblessing the Purity" is killer. The band is a supergroup of sorts, currently comprising of the guitarrist and bassist from doom metallers "Katatonia" and the drummer and vocalist from progressive metallers "Opeth". Their aim is to bring back 'classic, simple Death Metal'.
The vocalist has remained consistent, with the exception of their last album, "Nightmares Made Flesh" where Peter Tangtren of death metal fame "Hypocrisy" proved a stellar temp replacement. There are 4 CDs you can check out, 2 albums, 2 EPs, each as different and yet brutal as the last.
