I have been doing some research on CVT transmission to see their performance, reliablity and etc. I don't know if CVT really last a long time.
Anyway, I drive a 1998 Honda Civic HX with CVT transmission. I bought it 2 years ago with only 32,601 miles. Until just 2 days ago, my transmission went bad and it has only 84,000 miles on it! I took it to Hodna dealership and said that my transmission is bad and it has to be replaced. It would cost over $5,000 to replace it. And I've been doing regular maintenance as said in the owner's manual. I don't understand why my transmission went bad.
Anyone has that experience before?
