So my buddy tries to open my hood by tryin to pull the cable from the front bumper and freakin pulled off the hood release cable line. So now i cant open my hood no more. Is there a way i can still open it or do i have to take it to some kind of mechanic shop? If so, which shop? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dont you have to open the hood to remove the filler piece then the bumper?

nope.. it's 2 or 4 bolts behind the bumper lenses, depending on model and where it was made.
then you remove the 2 screws on each side in front of the front tires.
After that, there are like 10 screws that hold the filler and actual bumper in place on the bumper cover, lined up across the top.
Oh, if you still have the drag panel (plastic) you need to take out like 4 10mm bolts to get that off too, else it will tear and hold the whole bumper from coming completely off the car.

guy at the shop has a kid w/ a 4th gen... he broke the cable to open the hood, so they put in a new cable, and put a Jeep door handle just under the bumper connected to the cable... so he can open it w/o getting in the car, and noone knows it's there, unless you KNOW it's there.

Yea, just pull the bumper off. Its the 2 bolts(maybe 4 as mentioned) behind the bumper lenses and 2 screws on either side holding the fender liner to the bumper, and if you do have the plastic plate under neath, unbolt that...even if you didn't unbolt that, you can move your bumper far enough down to get your hood undone without doing any damage to the plastic plate.
No need to touch the filler panel or the screws on top of the bumper. Those screws just hold the bumper cover to the support, which you don't need to separate for this.

Yeah it took me alot of head scratching to figure out how the hell to get the bumper off after owning a crx, which is different.
