BMW Phone?

I have a 2004 X3 2.5i. There's a phone button on the steering wheel but no phone cradle. Is it possible to connect the phone to the radio or will I need a new stereo (or adapter). Thanks in advance for any info.

I think u have to see if ur car has bluetooth !
