help!!!! i keep comming to my hobby desk which has a couple of kits in progress, then think ahh bugger this a walk away and watch tv.
It seems i've hit a bloody brick wall in modelling, i want to build something and then look at all my kits and cannot decide what to build.
I've even thought about military kits (shudder) just hope it blows over quickly.

I get that whenever I have a stupid job to do. Like my Porsche 911GT1. I **ahemaccidentallyahem** blow dryed my rear suspension and warped it to illegible proportions. Didn't hurt the engine at all though (phew). So I had to scratch build the rear suspension and guess where the tires went. Stick the tire too low, and the ass end is in the sky. Too high, and the ass end is dragging on the ground. I think I did too high in the end, but the ass end should hopefully have a little clearance. Stopped me from working on that model for a long time.

I know how you feel :newburn:
My problem is I get to the point where Im about to paint the body and I freeze up. I don't know what color I want, and I freak myself out because I might f up the paint job or the gloss. Then it just sits......

Pick out 4-5 kits then post a poll here for us to vote on :)
When you pick you kit...plan out the whole build before you start and stay on that track.
I only build one kit at a time so i stay focused on the one kit only
If your not feeling in the mood to build...dont.
Its far better to have a break for a while untill you are ready

Build an Aussie car, you have any Resin bodies?
I agree with Warren, take one photo of 4-5 models in progress, then post a poll so you can see which one everyone wants to see first. If not then just take a break, like I'm doing now. I lost interest in models, mainly because my dad wouldn't buy me some damn paint to finish my Superbird.

1. Custom- How about your Fairlane in your sig? Give it some Black window rubbers and panel lines and it will look great!.
5- Diorama- You could most likely build a garage out od ply wood, and use some of the models you have already built to make a Mechanics workshop.
These are just my ideas. maybe for the custom you could build and modify a import. The revell Integra's or Civics would be a good base kit, IMO.

For dioramas, I like the idea of a model garage. Use an AMT or Revell Muscle car kit, and build an engine hoist. Have a crew of guys lowering in a Hemi into a little Dart or Duster, and have another car at another stage in the buildup, possibly with the engine on a stand beside the car, waiting for it's turn. If you're feeling ambitious, make one of the cars (probably the one waiting for the engine to drop in) at a midpoint in paint application. paint a primer on it, but have block sanding marks all over the car. It'd be pretty hard to get a silver showing under the primer, (like they block sanded away the primer and hit the bare metal), but with a silver base coat, followed by a primer coat, followed by carefull sanding, you might be able to accomplish it. Shit, if you manage that effect, it would probably take the award already...
