ZC question

Ok, I have a 1986 CRX HF, and I was wondering if it's still reasonable to attempt a ZC swap into this car due to it being automatic and carbed currently.

I really want to do this swap 'cause this car truely sucks, it's nothing more than a go cart with a bigger engine.

Yes it is possible.

If you want to swap it to a fuel injected ZC, the easiest option is to get
yourself an Si parts car. In order to do this swap you will have to do
some work. Converting to fuel injected will require an Si fuel tank,
running another fuel line, Si harness, Si fuel pump, Si cluster, etc. For
the automatic to manual swap you will need pedal assembly, clutch
cable, etc. So unless you have a source for cheap parts (junk yard),
your best bet is a parts car.

But do not be discouraged. This swap has been done before many
times, and is really worth it! An 86 HF with this set up will be king of
Autocross.

Your other option is trying to find a carbed ZC. This is a rare motor, and
comes to North America only so often. This swap will only require you to
literally swap the motor. An extra part that we needed for this was
a Prelude (85-86) carbed fuel pump, this was a pain to source.

This is an incredibly vague answer, if you need any more info, check out
www.redpepperracing.com/forums/ alot of us there could
answer your questions.

Good luck...
