I want to get my windows tinted and was wondering how much is an average price for a 2dr civic. Also, does anyone have a reference to any place around pasadena?

what percent should i go? 15%? i'm not too familiar with window tinting...

I am pretty sure for a nice job that wont bubble or fade around $125-150. don't try and do it yourself, I have seen what happens when people do that..no pretty :D

You could check out VIP centers in Pasadena on the corner of Sierra Madre and Altadena dr. I think they are about $150 for their premium tint though. Also Pro Tint over on San Gabrial bl. is supposed to be pretty good, I kick it sometimes with a guy that used to work there, and he said they have good prices on tint. If you are planning to swing by VIP center in Pasadena (the one at the location I mentioned) then let me know, I could meet up with you there and help you out with answers to anything else you're wondering about.

yeah i went to VIP in Glendora. I went there to get a price on that underbody neon kit that i wanted installed. I called and they said $100 cause it takes 2 hours at 50 bucks an hour. Then i went there and they said it wouldn't be ready for almost 4 hours and that it would be 150 bucks. so i'm a little questionable about them but i'm sure i just got a little paranoid. i scratched that idea of the underbody kit, well at least for now, and i'm gonna sell the kit i have on ebay. Anyways, back to the tinting, is it cheaper for a lighter tint? I don't want anything too dark or possibly illegal, but right now there is no tint at all and its just way too light inside. I'll probably go to the Pasadena shop next weekend cause that's a little closer to home. How long does it take? i don't want to be stuck out there for a long time with no ride and a lot of time to kill. Thanks.

Should take too long, maybe a couple hours at most. I think lighter tint might be cheaper, or rather darker is more expensive... When you get it done, make sure to book an appointment with the shop you chose, so that you can get faster service.
