I am looking into getting a hitch for my 2000 Grand Am GT and I was wondering has anyone else done this? How does the car drive while pulling? I will be pulling a little light trailer with camping supplies and a plastic power wheels 4-wheeler...
THANKS!!!

It is possible and I have seen it done but it is not a good idea. The transmission was really not built for this! I think towing a trailer with this car will put some serious strain on your tranny.

I'd really only be towing 200 pounds or less...

Well if it is that light I think it would be OK. Might want to think about investing in some kind of transmission cooler

If you do a search thier is another thread where someone was wanting to install a hitch.
Its not easy because the upper body(frame) is high above the rear bumper, and thier's not much of anything to both it too safely.
Which will could make it near impossible to get a license plate/insurnace for the trailer due to saftey issues.
Good luck
