2000 Blazer fuel pump help please!!!!

I am getting ready to replace the fuel pump on a 4 door 4x4 LT. Is there a secret on how to remove the fuel lines from the fuel pump that is in the tank?The ones on mine are not like threaded nuts but seem to be plastic and "factory attached" to the lines. Also is it necessary to replace the electric connections like the aftermarket stores suggest? Any insight and any other tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!!

The other lines where rusted.

When I did my fuel pump, I cut the metal lines. Got some high pressure fuel lines at auto zone for 10 bucks, some hose clamps. And with a small screw driver I re opened the hole on the metal lines.

Talking about the lines behind the left rear tire

for the fuel pump wires. ground power etc. If they look fine keep em. and maybe clean down where the ground wire goes with some sand paper.

I would also replase the fuel filter snice your putting in a brand new fuel pump. Other wise it would be pointless to do the pump

Never never cut an splice them lines.
It is a hiigh pressure fuel system capable of producing 105 lbs of full pressure.
Running pressure is 60-66 lbs.

Rubber fuel line and clamps are only a fire hazard.

The fuel line are just unsnap and pull.
The center vent line is usually a pinch type release.
Pinch on the biggest part of it and pull of.
And make sure you unplug the tank vent on end of tank or it will brak off vent fitting
If the connector is burnt or corroded replace it.

Do not use the aftermarket pumps like airtex wonder if they are going to pump pressure.

Only replace with the Ac-delco/Delphi fuel pump.

Some modules will require a different wiring plug.
Check your fuel pump application for a new/different wiring plug.

Go to Autozone and buy the "fuel line connector release tool" - I use the metal one- slips in behind the quick connect- to release the connection
