 The mechanic fixed a multiple of wiring shorts and replaced the computer. He worked on it for 2 weeks and was very fair with the 900.00 he charged. He even took me grocery shopping in the middle of this. He was very thoughtful. A broken signal arm still has to be replaced and said he would put the dash together then. But, here's our problem the guts of the dash are falling out on the rough roads we live on. My husband is crippled and can not bend over so I need to do it. I do not know where the parts screw down on the passenger side of the car. Please help.

Hello:
I would suggest you take the van back to the mechanic, as the computer etc that he worked on is in the very location you describe, behind the glove box on the passengers side. If it is falling out, he didn't fasten them back after working on it, and should have.

Thanks for the input. We are on social security and can not move on to the next repair until next month. I just need to know what screws down to what and where. It feels like the computer snaps into a clip. Like the rest of the world we don't have the gas to drive into town right now.

According to the Haynes manual, the computer is located under the glove box, behind the relay center, and is bolted on the left side to the carrier it sits in. To get at it, the manual lists:
! disconnect negative post to battery
2 remove screws from trim panel under right end of dash
3 remove trim panel to expose relay panel ( dirctly under glove box)
it is possible you may have to disconnect wiring harness to allow room to access, you will have to see once you get in there.

Good luck

Jeff
