1992 jeep wrangler camshaft posistion sensor question

I found out that the camshaft posistion sensor is in the distributor, Is this part replaceable or would i just have to replace the entire distributor? How can i test and what kind of readings should i get? Is the crankshaft posistion sensor the same as the vehicle speed sensor, or wold that only be on an automatic transmission? How can i test my crankshaft possition sensor and what readings should i get? It is a 1992 jeep wrangler with 2.5L engine and 5 speed manual transmission.

You do not have replace the whole distribitor.unscrew the screws holding the didtribitor cap on,remove the rotor and remove the cam sensor which should come out easy.
