The headlight detailing is just amazing, very photo-realistic looking.

LeMo...Absolutely amazing... the headlight detail leaves me salivating.... heck... I had to look at it several times to convince myself it wasn't a photo. You are an amazing artist... like a fine wine... better with time! Robo

you convinced yourself wrong
it is a photo...just threw a filter on it. Sometimes when the client wants that semi-real in the less extreme toon that's the best way to do it.
I tried to be cool like my friend Tyler. Not sure he uses photos but daaaaaaammmmn
He's great

I have seen many many artists do that with headlights in particular...this is a commercial job so sometimes you gotta do what the client wants even if it's not your personal preference.
regardless it should be ok when it's all done

Nice use of shading to give the white body so much depth.
It's so easy for me to get white, (and black), body color wrong.

white is tough
my wife made a great suggestion on this one for me
I was asking her if itlooked white or silver and she suggested I throw some pink on the hot side or the sky facing side. It's very subtle but you can see it on the hood and on the top of the side

thanks for the kind words GB but I'm not half the artist you are.
I understand busy as I just lost my dad a couple weeks ago so it's been a crazy tough time but art will always be there. Even in the most stressful or busy times, a pencil and some scratch paper and a few minutes can give you some distraction, some motivation and some confidence.
Hope your world slows down...it's alwful quiet up here these days...it'd be nice to have you back.
