Well I finally installed the 18g today and I have some primary thoughts and comments. First I am quite pleased with this turbo in almost every regard. This turbo actually spools faster than my e3 did. I think mostly due to the fact that I had just beat on that turbo for too long and she was starting to wear. I noticed the e3 had a ton of in out shaft play.
Next the wastegate holds rock steady. The e3 creeped this one holds 21 psi exactly from max boost till shift. I did one dsmlink pull with her today but my tune is all out of wack way too rich and I was at lower psi too cause I turned it down in anticipation for the new turbo. Anyways car was putting down 235 hp with no knock whatsoever and wicked rich. So I think there is a distinct possibility of makeing a lot of hp. I will update when I get a real chance to start making some adjustments and turning up the boost.

Car is feeling really nice I leaned it abit more still in mid to low tens so still more room to lean for sure. Upped my boost controlled a bit but I didn't notice much if any difference in boost so that might be something I'm going to have to look into. Hopefully my spring on this wastegate is capable of going bigger. Anyways here is the good news. No knock. There was a max of .7 degrees at one point but it was in the lower rpms and I think that was more phantom knock as it dissapeared as the boost continued to climb and rpms increase. I have managed to squeeze 20 more horses without even touching timing and boost change was marginal if anything so basically just leaning = +20 so far. Max hp right now is 254.4 at a measily 5074 rpm with 263.3 ftlbs.

OMG dude, theres so much untapped power at your finger tips. I can't wait to see what kind of hp you'll be putting down once you get her fine tuned. congrats bro

Bah I blew off my intercooler pipe yesterday the one which I had to undo to install the turbo So I assume I just didn't tighten it properly. But that one is bottomed out so I am going to swap it for something slightly smaller. Can't do any tuning right now but will update

looks like you spiked to 20psi, then it backed off to about 15psi... but the airflow seems A LOT stronger then a 16g @ 15psi (spike 20psi) thats AWESOME! cant wait to see a good tune out of that beast steviek!

Don't forget, that DSMLink is giving you your HP at the crank. You'll need to adjust the HP properties if you want WHP.
You have some work to do, since it looks like your pushing about 0.32g/rev at idle and that value should be around 0.28g/rev. Also, BoostEst doesn't match your set boost in the 5500rpm range.
Anything in the 0.4 - 0.7 counts of knock is pretty much in every single log I've ever seen, so it's nothing to worry about. I constantly get about 0.4 counts no matter what the tune looks like.
It looks like you're on the right track, though!

Well I figured I would update you guys on how its been going. it didn't take me too long to get my car back to where I was at when I was basically maxing out the e3. I took it to the track and ran a very contenting 12.8@ 106 mph. There is still room left on the turbo I know that so it is entirely possible to see lower numbers than that. This was done on a full weight 2g awd with ac and sunroof etc on 18 inch heavy ass rims so I am pretty happy about that.
