Hey Towncar you are usually a big help, how can i fix an intermittent alarm sounding problem with nothing causing it to go off but a possible failing system. Is there a way to turn off the alarm permanently?

Cool, a neighbor !! I'm working in Northridge near Balboa & Roscoe.
There's no practical way to disable the alarm in the 90's Lincolns. Pulling the module kills the car.
Are you 100% sure you have all the door switches working? There's six of them in the 4 door models. One trunk, one hood, and 4 doors.
I'm guessing the security module's door inputs can be permanently closed to make it think everything's always closed tight. Alternatively the output to the horns and lights should be accessible to nip 'n tuck too.
99.9% of these mystery alarm issues boils down to the door sensors. 50/50% trace to the passenger doors vs Hood/Trunk sensors.

Driver door sensors are in need of a fix..
Well, first try what LOTS of folks say works.... use some thin penetrating oil like WD40 or Liquid Wrench... Spray it around the door latch attempting to clean the assembly... open and close the door a few times working it in... do it a few times till it's clean and working great...
Most folks have good luck with this method.
