Just a simple project to get me back in the loop. I hate being in a modelling slump where you lost the drive to build the detailed kits :(

Kit is basically box stock, wheels are just there for test fit but thats about the height I'm going for. the wheels are old school rs watanabe type 2 piece wheels. center was painted gunmetal. first time to use micro sol and the carbon hood went on pretty wheel. Interior is pretty much done as well, everything is going to be in black except for the nice red Recaro seats.

let me know what you think? the wheels too old school for the car?

Looks nice. We all need a quick-build once in a while..
What kit is this?
I thought the EF CRX kits had the big jdm glass roof ?!
Got to get me one of these to make a replica of my 1:1 CRX VT

thanks martin s, this kit is the fujimi CRX Si kit. I know what you're saying though, I built the glass roof crx before as well.

The wheels are not too old school man, it looks perfect.I am going to be puting 15 inch Longchamp xr-4's on mine. Rexies are old school cars, so the wheels are very suiting.

Good job on the OEM lower molding paint as well. Are you going to do the 1988-89 style tails? Or the 1990-91 Style tails. I used to be a CRX fanatic, hit me up if you have any questions.

thanks guys!

mojo stevo, sorry I'm a crx newb :D what's the difference between the two tail lights? I actually just followed the instructions and painted the tail lights red and the 2 corners amber/orange

I'm sure what ever you did looks fine.

Here is a guide, the difference is almost none. The '90-91 have a dark red trim around the lights.

thanks for the pics mojo stevo, looks like I'm going with the 89-91 tails with this one :)

the wheels are a total pain in the A** to mount. they are the old school fujimis that are suppose to be mounted using little screws so converting it to fit the crx suspension was difficult. almost done though! for those that don't plan to detail the suspension, I have an easy way to lower this, will show some pics tomorrow.

we can all use a quick build like this :)
