Hey everyone,
I need to know if anyone is running the stock in-tank fuel pump with a aftermarket regulator supplying a carb ?
Can it be done without problems ?
I'm having fuel pickup problems with my 97 GMC 502 crate (carb) and heard I could go back to the tank pump instead of the frame mounted Holley pump.
Thanks for any insight !

Well, as you probably know, a stock in-tank pump for that year will put out a ton of unregulated pressure (maybe 80 psi) and a carb only needs about 6-8 psi. I ran a Holley electric pump on my '57 for years feeding a double pumper without a problem. Holley instructions were very detailed as to where the pump should be located in relation to the level of the tank.
