first off, my radiator fan will not turn off. it constantly runs at full power and stays on for about 3-5 seconds after i turn my car off. anyone have a clue to whats goin on?

and second, anyone kno where an online repair manual is? i used to use fast-4ward but that one does seem to work. and then other one in the "guide to modifying you car" doesnt work either.

the manual went down?! oh snap!!!

i dont know where the manual is, it's hard to say where it could have gone but i'll look into it a bit.

As far as your fan goes, when it gets warmer outside, its going to make your coolant be warmer, your fan is just trying to keep the air moving across the radiator, so it can be cooled, it running shortly after your car is off i wouldn't worry about. Since it just isn't plain turning off at all when the car is running, or at least that you know of, it could also be a fan relay or coolant temp switch... but your guess is as good as mine.

If it were to constantly kick on even when the car is off, then i'd worry.

yea thats the problem, it does come on all the time. this started before the weather started to get hot. even if the car has been off for a day, all i have to do is turn the key to the on position (not starting it) and it will come on.

and i also have these:

P0170 Fuel Trim Malfunction (Bank 1)

P0125 Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Insufficient for Closed Loop
Fuel Control

well there is your answer right there, if hte coolant temp sensor isn't operating right, it'll run in safe mode where it'll just keep that fan on so your car doesn't overheat.

the other one, i'm unsure, that could be a small problem.

the temp sensor read the temp fine is it seemed. my engine heat up close to the flag on the gauge and i could feel it. i check my coolant level and it did need some, so i filled it up. the temp problem fixed itself but the light came back on. i dont have time now to check it but i will tmw.

there are usually 2 sensors, unsure on these cars in particular, but some cars have a temperature sensor for the fans and the computer, the other for the gauge.

just for reference.
